A short class in the heart of glass country, Stourbridge.
I had a very specific reason for wanting to do this - my leopard needs whiskers! It’s a long term plan, but I have an idea and I think engraving might be the best way to achieve whiskers on glass.
I went up to Stourbridge and took a morning’s class with Charlotte at Glass Quarter Designs. She talked me through the tools and techniques and we got straight on with having a go. It was a great introduction and I was able to try out a few different things during the morning, including one of Charlotte’s popular goldfish and, of course, a few whiskers. I’d also never drilled holes in glass before so that was really useful to learn.
All in all, a good morning and something I would like to explore more of in future work.
