Maker Advent Calendar from The Pi Hut
This one might seem like a random choice, but at some point I want to be able to add lighting to my glass work and this seemed like a good place to start. My husband bought me the kit from The Pi Hut. It has 12 projects using a Raspberry Pi Pico controller and a variety of electrical components. It walks you through the set up and then you can open the boxes for a new project each day. I made LEDs flash, beepers beep and set off movement, tilt and light sensors. I had to wait till the last day to unbox the RGB LED strip. It has addressable LEDs meaning you can turn each one on individually and set the specific colour using RGB values.
A great little kit for the winter evenings, I’d recommend it for anyone who is interested in getting started in electronics. It sets you up with a good selection of parts, enough to come up with your own projects and have a go at writing your own code.
